Frequently Asked Questions
When is the most cost effective time to buy propane?
Historically, the lowest price for propane occurs in the summer. While we do not think about propane as much in the summer, low demand causes the price to go down. This makes it a great time to buy!
Do you offer a keep full program?
Yes! An algorithm is used to determine the percentage level of each customer’s tank. When it is between 30% and 40%, we will make a delivery. Also, this often results in benefits to the customer as we will intentionally top off a tank before a price increases and often are able to wait a bit as the price begins to drop to maximize savings.
Do you offer an Even Pay Plan? (EVP)
Yes! For customers that have been with us for four years or more, an evened out payment plan is available. Your total payment for the year would be divided up into equal monthly payments for the year.
What should I do if I smell propane around my tank outside?
The “propane smell” around your tank outside may mean the tank has developed a small leak. We can apply a leak detection solution to your tank to determine if that is the case. If it is the case, we will be happy to help with solutions there as well! Just give us a call!
Do you sell tanks?
Yes! We keep a stock of 500 gallon and 1000 gallon refurbished tanks for sale. These tanks are newly painted, have all new valves & gaskets- making them just like new but about 40% less than the cost of a brand new tank.
"Your prices seem to be the lowest. How can you charge so much less than some other companies?"
Yes- this is an actual question we hear from time to time (usually from new customers). It is a pretty big question, but the following are some of the highlights on this one:
We have a number of amazing suppliers that do a great job for us.
There are several key operating efficiencies we have adopted. Two such examples: first, designated directions each day of the week (increases fuel and time efficiencies), and second, Operating within a limited geographical area (almost every week we have to decline opportunities to deliver to folks that are too far away.)
We are a privately owned “mom & pop” business without CEOs, shareholders, and layers of middle management. Fewer folks to pay means lower costs.
With the lower cost structure, we could propably get away with charging more (especially in high demand seasons), but we just do not find the need. It is our joy to pass those savings on to our customers.
